I don't want a debate here, I'm just saying teens who can't vote need to stop posting on facebook how mad they are about the election and who won. Most of the time they are uneducated about what the canidate is going to do and only want them to win due to their parents influence. Which brings me into my topic today.
We need to get some thinking of our own. Teens have no common sense anymore and they don't think outside the box. It's all conformity. That's something the "experts" got spot on. In school we have to dress like everyone else, talk like everyone else, and look like everyone else. All the "fads" are made due to conformity. And this is what impacts our education.
Kids who are very intelligent pretend to be dumb and fail a test on purpose just o fit in with their friends. This isn't right. So when people are saying what's wrong with education and teaching styles? Most of the time the answer is the kids know the stuff, they are smart, but conformity forces them not to show it.
So if you're a teen reading this, it's okay to get good grades and be smart. It would be better for you. After high school when you apply to college and they don't accept you because you didn't get good grades you will wish you didn't sink into the conformity. Be your own person! Who cares about what anyone thinks. You have a future and you need to think about it. If you are an adult reading this with kids of your own, I enourage you to talk to your kid and let them know how important grades are and let them know you are there to help. Don't push them. Don't say you NEED to get good grades, just let them know you are there for them.

On day seven of no power. Not fun! It's cold and dark all the time. But I am lucky I am safe and my home is not flooded. I hope all of those not as fortunate are doing better as time progresses. Please stay safe.

Read this book!
- Dear Blue Sky by Mary Sullivan
It is a wonderful book that focuses on a young girl whose brother went off to war. The war is the Iraq war so it is a modern story. Not only does it show the American point of view but what is so great about this book is it shows the point of view of a young girl in Iraq. I encourage all to read this book.

I am a big reader so from time to time I will be doing a READ THIS BOOK!

Hey everyone! Sorry I skipped a few days of posting. I lost power from hurrican Sandy about 20 minutes after my first post. I still don't have any power and shouldn't until two weeks from now! So I am very sorry about the lack of posting. However, I want to wish everyone a (late) Happy Halloween!
These are the nails I did to my sister to celebrate. I love halloween. I mean free candy who doesn't love halloween? Sadly due to the hurricane (once again) halloween has been postponed.
I hope anyone who was in the hurricane is safe and the damage wasn't to bad.
